Primary care and urgent care

This preceptorship program provides a comprehensive clinical experience across both primary and urgent care settings. With 10-hour shifts in primary care and 12-hour shifts in urgent care, NP students will engage with a diverse patient population, including adolescents and older adults in primary care, and patients aged 3 and up in urgent care. It also includes a focus on women’s health, offering hands-on experience with Pap smears, birth control management, and other reproductive health services. Participants will benefit from personalized mentorship and supervision, enhancing their skills in patient assessment, chronic disease management, and acute care. This dual exposure prepares individuals for a versatile healthcare career, equipping them with the adaptability and broad skill set needed to excel in various clinical environments.

Hospitalist/ Internal Medicine

Available to precept NP students seeking an internal medicine rotations. I see patients age 18 and up on various inpatient unit at a busy Hospital.

I am a Clinical Practice Development Coordinator at UMBWMC and any student in a nursing education track could get a great idea of what a clinical nurse educator does in the hospital setting.

I work at UMBWMC in clinical education daily, 8:00 AM - 4:30 pm

The African Women's Cancer Awareness Association is fully involved in several community outreach events. We also provided health education as well as patient navigation services in addressing the burden of cancer on women in the community.

We have had several volunteers and interns from various schools, complete their practicum experience with us. We are open for in-person internship, Monday thru Thursday, from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM.

Occupational Medical Practice we perform Dept of Transportation physicals and drug screens in addition to Pre-Employment physicals for various first responders. Our hours are 8-5 M-Th and Fridays 8-2:30 pm

I have been in a NP for 7 years and had my own office for 5 years. All prior nursing experience is utilized in our office. We see a variety of employees who have various chronic health issues.
